Track tasks: the tab, details, and worker output
The Tasks tab groups task cards by run; click a card to open details. Details show the brief, dependencies, every attempt, messages, the latest worker output, and a shortcut to that dispatch’s diff.
Reading the task list
Section titled “Reading the task list”Open the Tasks tab. The top card shows the current run’s objective, creation time, completed count, and progress bar; abandoned tasks are expandable and a run switcher appears when more than one run exists.
Groups follow status: Not started, In progress, In review, Completed, Failed, Abandoned. Group headers collapse, and Abandoned starts closed. A task card shows its title, role badge, branch, running time, attempt count, dependencies, and latest message. Click it to open details.
Task details
Section titled “Task details”The drawer covers the right panel; close it with Esc or the back arrow. The header shows status, role, and branch. For a task in review or completed with Git, “View changes” sits at the top right.
The body contains a collapsible brief, dependency tasks, an attempt timeline, the message stream, and worker output for the latest attempt. Click a dependency to switch to it. Historical attempts show success/failure, start and end times, a summary, and changed files.
The drawer is read-only. To change the task or ask for a merge / rejection, return to the orchestrator’s conversation.
Worker output
Section titled “Worker output”The bottom of task details is Worker output: monospaced text that follows the end automatically. Scrolling up stops following; Pause freezes the view while fetching continues in the background. The pause control shows how many characters arrived, and Resume or the jump-to-bottom button catches up at once.
Only the latest attempt’s complete output is shown; earlier attempts remain in the timeline above. If output was truncated, the number of dropped leading characters is shown. Failed reads can be retried; empty tasks show “No output” or “Waiting for output…”.
Jump to the diff
Section titled “Jump to the diff”View changes closes the drawer, switches to Changes, and loads the dispatch’s historical review. “View current conversation changes” returns to the session’s changes. After a merge and worktree cleanup the saved diff remains viewable, with a note that it is a pre-cleanup snapshot.
To inspect the worker’s own messages, you can also open its Worker session from the left session list.
